About this Race
Ameris Bank is proud to carry on the tradition of the Jacksonville Marathon, the oldest marathon in Jacksonville, Florida, and one of the fastest courses in the U.S. In its 40th year, this race celebrates the beauty of Jacksonville on a course featuring plentiful shade and flat terrain.

You can register at any of our 1st Place Sports stores on our instore computers with no processing fee.
Packet Pickup
Packets will be available for pick up at your selected 1st Place Sports locations on Friday, December 8th from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm and Saturday, December 9th from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. All packets will be moved to the Bolles School for day of race pick up from 5:30 AM until 6:45 AM.
Participants will receive a gender specific long-sleeve half-zip shirt.
DIRECTIONS TO RACE SITE
The Bolles School is located at 7400 San Jose Blvd. From the South, take Highway 13 (San Jose Blvd.) north for five miles off Interstate 295. From the north, exit Interstate 95 at Baymeadows Road. Take Baymeadows three miles west to San Jose Blvd. The Bolles School is located two miles to the north on the left.
MEDICAL AID STATIONS
Medical stations will be located at various points along the course and at the finish.
Post Race Celebration
A post race celebration for all runners will be held at the finish line right after you finish. Free food and drinks will be served. A post-race lunch will be served.
Course
This Jacksonville Marathon and 1/2 Marathon courses are USA Track and Field certified (Marathon – FL21041JK)(1/2 Marathon – FL21042JK), flat, fast, and very scenic with 85% shade. There are no hills, bridges, or overpasses. The course starts at Bolles School on San Jose Blvd. heads north and then back south passing the starting line at the 5K point. The course then runs out and back into the historic and very scenic Mandarin area. You can qualify for the Boston Marathon for the next two years if spaces are still available. Water and electrolyte stations are located about every two miles. Clocks and mile markers at every mile. The 1/2 marathon is also certified.

Parking
Parking for the race is limited at The Bolles School. If you are staying at the host hotel, please try to use our buses. The bus transportation is free and should get you back and forth to the race site without delay. There will also be a satellite parking site with free bus transportation. Satellite parking information will be included in the race instructions that will be emailed to all registered participants the week before the marathon.
The VIP Parking information below is from last year and will be updated as soon as details are confirmed.
VIP Parking: The San Jose Episcopal Church, located directly across from The Bolles School, will be using their parking lot for a Youth Fundraiser! Starting at 5:30 AM there will be spots available in both their front and back lots on campus. Volunteers will be on hand to direct you to a spot and get you on your way to the race! Spots are $20 and they will be accepting cash or check on race morning. All proceeds go to their youth ministry scholarship fund that helps youth go on their summer mission trips.
Hotel Accommodations
The Embassy Suites located at 9300 Baymeadows Road will serve as the host hotel for the event. They have reduced room rates of$139 for a King Suite and $149 for Double Queen Suites. Cut-off date for reservations is November 15th
Bus transportation will be provided to and from the race site on race day. See schedule below.

Hotel Bus Transportation schedule
From Embassy Suites to starting line at The Bolles School – 5:00 AM until 6:00 AM – Buses will leave the hotel at 5 AM, 5:15 AM, 5:30 AM with the last bus leaving at 6 AM, but there may not be room so try to catch an earlier bus.
From Race Site to Embassy Suites – A bus will leave The Bolles School parking lot every 20 minutes from 8:40 AM until 1 PM. If you plan to take longer than 5 and 1/2 hours to complete the marathon you should not plan on using the bus transportation back to the hotel.
