Due to an overwhelming response, we have closed registration for UF Health Jacksonville’s 9th annual Tony’s Turkey Trot. We have reached the limit of the amount of entries we can take. The high number of registrations has exceeded our expectations, and we are thrilled to see high participation and incredible support.
We will not be taking anymore registrations online or onsite race morning. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have you run with us next year.

The 9th Annual Tony’s Turkey Trot 5K for Brain Injury Awareness hosted by UF Health Jacksonville will take place on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023 in Atlantic Beach, FL. By participating in Tony’s Turkey Trot 5K, you advance lifesaving care during the early critical stages of the injury and support the holistic care of traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivors in our community.
Race Packet Pick-Up will be available on the following days/locations:
There are three race packet pick-up locations:
Tuesday, November 21st – 1st Place Sports, 424 South 3rd Street, Jacksonville Beach
10 AM until 5 PM
Wednesday, November 22nd – One Ocean Resort & Spa, 1 Ocean Blvd. Atlantic Beach (Parking will be available in the Seahorse Oceanfront Inn parking lot.)
10 AM until 7 PM – Packet pick-up will be located in the Solaria Room.
Race day pick-up – One Ocean Resort and Spa, Atlantic Beach
6 AM until 8 AM – In the Solaria Room
All Participants will receive a finisher medals. The awards ceremony will take place directly following the 1-Mile Fun Run and walk.

- Overall masters male & female (over 40 years of age).

- Top finisher in each age groups for male & female will be categorized as below. 10 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80 and over.

PROCEEDS FOR TONY’S TURKEY TROT
Proceeds from Tony’s Turkey Trot are an investment in vital, lifesaving work at UF Health Jacksonville, in our community and across the region. Funds raised through the 2022 Tony’s Turkey Trot have supported and/or will support:
- 24 patients in the the UF Health Jacksonville Leon L. Haley Jr., M.D., Brain Wellness Program through one calendar year
- Help to provide education around TBI’s and brain injuries through the UF Health Jacksonville Trauma Prevention Education Program
- Purchase a device called the Transcranial Dopper that can measure the rate and direction of blood flow in the brain
- 10 members at the Brooks Rehabilitation Brain Injury Clubhouse for one month
