Celebrate the best of Riverside with the Run Riverside 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run.  This is a great event for the whole family!  5K runners will tour the Riverside community, from Five Points to King Street, running by SunRay Cinemas, the Cheek Castle House, Memorial Park, and the Cummer Museum.  1 Mile runners will enjoy “the most fun Fun Run ever,” encountering multiple Fun Zones along their route!

 

 

Email Communication

All communications including event promotions, bib number assignment, results problems, and runner instructions are done by email from 1st Place Sports. If you sign up for an event and do not receive an email from 1st Place Sports and want to receive them, please make sure that 1st Place Sports emails are not going to your junk mail.

Online registration closes the day prior to the beginning of packet pickup. After online registration closes, you can still register in any 1st Place Sports store during packet pickup.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be at your selected 1st Place Sports store on April 26th from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM and on race day at the race site.

Course

The 5K course takes runners on a historical tour of Riverside, from Five Points to King Street, past the Cummer Museum, Memorial Park, the Goodwin House, and SunRay Cinemas. Both races start and finish in front of Riverside Presbyterian Day School.

Post Race Celebration

Following the race, visit the Health and Wellness Fair to enjoy activities and treats from local businesses.

Both races start and finish at the same location, the intersection of Post and Oak Streets.  The races will start in one wave, with the 1 Mile starting at 3:00 PM and the 5K starting at 3:30 PM.  Dogs are not permitted.  Walkers and strollers line up at the end of the race.

Awards

Awards
All registered 5K and 1 Mile finishers will be awarded a medal as they cross the finish line.  Awards will be given to the following 5K finishers:

  • top three men and women overall
  • top masters (40+) male and female
  • top three finishers in the following male and female age groups:- 6 and under

Race Timing

Race Timing
The race will be timed using the Race Results Timing System.  You must cross the timing mats at the start and finish to be included in the results.
