Packet Pickup

Be sure and check the box on the entry form where you plan to pick up your packet. If you do not check a location, your packet will automatically be at the Baymeadows store. Packets will be available at your selected 1st Place Sports location on Friday, March 19th and Saturday, March 20th from 10 AM until 6 PM. All packets that are not picked up at the above location will be moved to the Race Site for race day pick up.

Race Timing

The race will be timed using the ChampionChip (chip must be worn on your shoe during the race). Your entry fee covers the cost of the chip rental. If you have your own chip, you need to enter your chip number on the entry form, and deduct $2.00 from the entry fee. You must cross the timing mats to be included in the results. Do not wear your personal chip if you sign up on raceday!


Awards

10K Awards: The 10K will be scored for the Jacksonville Grand Prix competition. Prize money will be awarded to the top three men and women overall as follows: 1st Place $200, 2nd Place $100, 3rd Place $50, and 1st Masters $50. Age group awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each of the following male and female age groups as follows: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 & over.

5K Awards: Awards will be presented to the overall male and female and to the top three finishes 10 and under, 11-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 & over.


Course

The 10K and 5K will start and run together at 8:00 AM near the entrance of the cemetery. Both races will finish in a common finish area. This is a beautiful course through Evergreen Cemetery. The course runs through stately oak and magnolia trees and is about 90 percent shaded. All miles and turns will be marked with digital clocks at most miles.


Parking

Parking is available inside the cemetery for those who are going to stay throughout the whole race, and post race celebration. If you park in the cemetery, you cannot leave until the race is over. If you are going to want to leave early please park outside the cemetery!
