1K Walk for Seniors and Children

The 1K for Seniors and Children will be held after the 10K and 5K at 9:30 AM

Packet Pickup

Packets will be available for pick up at the following 1st Place Sports locations on Thursday, November 15th and Friday, November 16th from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Please be sure to mark your pickup location on your entry form! If you do not indicate a location, your packet will automatically be at the Baymeadows Store location. All packets will be moved to the race site for raceday pick up beginning an hour before the race.

Race Timing

The race will be timed using the MyLaps Timing Chip System (chip must be worn on your shoe during the race). Your entry fee covers the cost of the chip rental. If you have your own chip, you need to enter your chip number on the entry form, and deduct $2.00 from the entry fee. You must cross the timing mats to be included in the results. Do not wear your personal chip if you sign up on raceday!

Awards

10K: Prize money will be awarded to the top three men and women overall as follows: 1st Place $200, 2nd Place $150, 3rd Place $100, 1st Masters $50. Age group awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each of the following male and female age groups as follows: 19 and under, 20-24. 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.

5K: Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall and to the top three finishers in each of the above age group.

The Awards Ceremony will be held at 9:15 AM near the finish line in the church parking lot.

Course

10K: The race will start and finish at the Mandarin Presbyterian Church and will follow a large loop around Mandarin. The course is flat and fast, runs through a nice residential neighborhood, and is USA Track and Field certified. Water stations will be located at the start, 2 mile, 4 mile and at the finish. A medical station will also be available at the finish. Each mile will be marked and digital clocks will be displayed.

5K: The 5K starts at the 10K starting line and runs an out and back course along Flynn Road.

Parking

Please park at Mandarin Presbyterian Church located at 12001 Mandarin Road at the start and finish of the race. Please do not block in other vehicles or park illegally. Additional parking is located one block to the east on the old campus of the church located at 11844 Mandarin Road.

Post Race Celebration

Free food and drink will be provided by Native Sun Natural Foods Market after the race right at the finish line. This will be the site of the awards ceremony. Music will be provided and a drawing for prizes will be held!

Grand Prix Race

The Native Sun Mandarin Run 10K is the fifth Jacksonville Grand Prix event. The 10k, not the 5k score points towards the Grand Prix. Over $5,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded at the end of the series. For more information about the Grand Prix, click here.
